Another Gathering, Laksa by OSH

Friday, 17th November, 6:30 pm onwards.

It was a lively and boisterous evening at the dinner hosted by Su Hin, a great lover of animals, particularly dogs and cats. Most of us were table soccer enthusiasts who gathered to play after dinner or supper during our time at Raffles Hall in the late eighties to early nineties.

Thanks to Su Hin for his incredible laksa and his generosity. The enticing aroma wafted down Pemimpin Drive, guiding me to his home. I decided to access the gathering from the back of his house, peering over the two-meter high retaining wall and feeling a sense of nostalgia and anticipation as I saw the familiar faces and heard the joyful sounds of reunion.

Boo Aik showed me the 18 years. It was on the spur of the moment, I could not help but offer it to the rest of the guest to show the generosity of the host, who was conveniently out of the scene. This is great stuff. a few of us had a little sip each. We wished that there was more in the bottle but it was only about one centimeter high left in the bottle when we found it. It did make everyone happy when I held up the empty bottle and they record it as evidence. What an occasion!

Su Hin is also a great collector of art pieces. Hung in his living rooms were his favorite pieces in black and white. He is one of those few who appreciate monochromatic pieces.
